Full Job Description
Zycus is looking out for Database Administrator having expertise in MongoDB database solution including, database installation, configuration, performance tuning, High Availability / DR solutions, troubleshooting, and backups, monitoring and enhancements

Responsibilities:
Database administrator will be responsible for handling task requirements including Hardware, Architecture, configuration, Integration, and maintaining mission-critical Production databases along with other DBMS technology stack.
Architect and improve the existing replica-set implementations
Estimate database capacities; develop methods for monitoring database capacity and usage.
Lead efforts to develop and improve procedures for automated monitoring and proactive intervention, reducing any need for downtime.
Setup replica-sets using automation and scope out continuous improvements as the workload continues to grow
Upgrade existing MongoDB Versions to latest, using automation1
Migrate databases from self-managed instances to MongoDB Atlas
Participate in application development projects and be responsible for the database architecture and design.
Problem analysis and solution implementation
Responsible for database performance review to ensure queries are optimized and tuned to perform efficiently prior to production release.
Responsible for regular backups and recovery of databases.
Responsible for regular maintenance of databases and proactive remediation of database operational problems.
Responsible for Query tuning and preventative maintenance.
Undergo cross training for other DBMS implementations.
Support complex web-based applications.
