Amazon’s Social Responsibility program drives customer trust, business continuity, and sustainable social impact by embedding respect for human rights and the environment throughout Amazon’s entire value chain. We implement company-wide standards and commitments (such as our Global Human Rights Principles and Supply Chain Standards). We seek to continuously improve the tools and processes used in integrating human rights and environmental due diligence across the business.
We are looking for a Sr. Program Manager, Social Responsibility, to develop and execute strategies to uphold and advance human rights across diverse Amazon businesses.
You will drive timely identification, escalation and remediation of existing and emerging human rights and other related risks across Amazon businesses. You will also help design and implement program interventions and solutions that ensure that suppliers, service providers and vendors in South Asia region have the understanding and tools needed to proactively identify and address these risks. You will be tasked to address new business issues/risks as they arise by working within broader SR team to translate problems and integrate effective solutions with an eye towards automation, scalability and efficiency.
This role necessitates ability to influence, with limited/no authority, various cross-functional partners such as Operations, Procurement, Transportation and Logistics, PR, Legal, HR, Public Policy etc. Your work will help us drive action to address our salient human rights issues and embed socially responsible practices into Amazon businesses.
Key job responsibilities
Lead day-to-day execution of Global Engagement core services to the Amazon businesses and suppliers/vendors/service providers to enable their capacity building around identified priority issues and risks.
About The Team
The Global Engagement (GE) team, within the Social Responsibility function, is a specialist team, comprising of subject-matter experts around the world in countries where Amazon sources and operates. We work with Amazon business teams to provide suppliers and service providers with guidance and tools on how to remediate and prevent risks, and drive positive outcomes for workers. These tools are aimed at addressing both immediate risks through case management support, as well as promoting long-term continuous improvement by strengthening management systems, promoting effective worker dialogue and building supplier/service provider ownership for sustainability performance.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Project Management, Sustainability, Social Work or Business Administration.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on (or demonstrated passion for) forced labor/human trafficking/modern slavery, human rights, labor rights, multi-stakeholder initiatives, international development, labor rights training, or social responsibility.
