Objectives of the Position

PGM expert and analyst is responsible for controlling the operational PGM (Precious Grade Metals) gain / loss by continuous monitoring and providing comprehensive solutions for deviations. This role is also responsible for performing analytics on key operational aspects to highlight statistical information, trigger action and support timely decision making.

Main Tasks

PGM Management

Continuously monitor the operational PGM gain / loss by downloading the evaluation report from PMPRO at least twice in a week.

Analyse the PGM evaluation report and act with immediate counter measures to nullify if any deviations observed.

Contribute to the collective decision making of Slurry and Coating teams for better PGM control.

Identify the anomalies in Slurry and Coating processes which contribute to abnormal PGM gain / loss and provide concrete solutions to prevent the recurrence of the same in the future.

Update the exact PGM nominal values for Slurry and Catalyst from SAP material master in internal analysis sheets for validation of material content results.

Act as a single point of contact and provide monthly PGM related details to global, regional, and internal functions at site.

SAP

Perform the WIP clearing runs and TECO for finished production process orders once in a week.

Create the Master recipe and BOM of newly released parts on timely basis without any delay to the PPAP process.

Perform monthly analysis and take measures to prevent both favourable and unfavourable variances of idle costs.

Ensure the accuracy of Product costing by validating the actual processing time along with the utilities in the master recipe periodically.

Analysis

Update the weekly scrap details of all the production lines and raise alarm if the scrap percentage of any line goes beyond target.

Prepare monthly reports of all the Production KPI (Key Performance Indices) within the first week of every month.

Monitor the Asset Effectiveness of primary coaters using the GAP (Global Asset Performance) tool.

Provide key inputs and analysis of the various cost elements for allocation and completion of annual production costing and budgeting.

Carve-out

Be the IT and BPO champion for data validation and migration to SAP S/4HANA.

Work collaboratively with third party IT firm by actively stating the business requirements and look into perfect working solutions through SIT’s and UAT’s.

As a key user, train the end users regarding the new changes with respect to the new IT infrastructure for ERP and non-ERP applications.

Quality

Formulate, implement, and adhere to Quality Management Systems IATF 16949, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 & 5-STAR requirements of Hyundai leading to Customer Satisfaction.

Ensure the closure of assigned product quality NCMs in SAP QM module within 15 days as a part of compliance guidelines.

Monitor process development and implement updated operating methods and procedures to ensure and improve product quality, assist in customer and supplier audits.

Operational Excellence

Identify the scope Identify the scope of improvement in coating operation and initiate OpEx projects for productivity improvement, cost reduction and quality improvement.

Process Improvement/modification are carried out within the agreed Capital Investment budget.

Responsible Care / EHS Related Roles & Responsibilities:
As the responsible person for Process Safety, he has responsibility of ensuring Safety to all the people working in the plant through continuously identifying the Near Misses & Hits and correcting them, to identify the potential hazards in the site and eliminating them, to carry out risk analysis for all the activities either based on activities or based on areas of operation, identify the high risk & medium risk activities / areas, and take appropriate countermeasures for reducing the risk

Must support for 100% compliance by all people in the site for the PPE requirements.

To ensure Permit System requirements are met fully

To support for the departmental Safety meetings to bring awareness of all people working in his department.

Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position

Education: B.E / B. Tech in Engineering in Mechanical/Chemical/Production.

Working Experience: Minimum 6 Years

Technical & Professional Knowledge: Knowledge of Automobile Industry with SAP / ERP expertise
