ABB Hiring for Quality Technician at Bengaluru, Karnataka Full Time

You will be working as Quality Technician and will be responsible for Motion Business Area in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Quality Manager and you will be responsible for deploying and supporting a quality culture within local ABB, by assuring and controlling Quality with systems, tools and teams to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations.

Your responsibilities

Supporting specific activities related to Quality Management within local ABB organizational unit

Executing and assisting the local organization with specific quality content, tools, and systems

Supports quality assurance activities in collaboration with local production, engineering, and other relevant functions

Reporting quality issues data, ensuring the Quality Management System is adhered to at all stages

Acquiring and reporting in an accurate and timely manner on quality metrics and key performance Indicators (KPIs) for the analysis and management of local processes

Utilizing measurement systems to produce data that reflect the accurate characteristics of materials, products, systems, and processes

Performing assigned tasks in a safe manner that will encourage others to exercise safety in their normal daily activities

Training local operational teams in relevant elements of quality management, supports implementation and raises opportunities for improvement

Providing feedback to work teams from their internal and external customers to promote alignment between process output and customer expectations

Assisting the local quality team in implementing and maintaining a quality system. Conducting routine audits to ensure the conformance of processes or products with established processes, procedures, standards, and specifications

Leading small work teams in the documentation of their processes and the implementation of quality controls to ensure consistent and predictable results

Your background

Diploma in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics)

Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality field

Certified Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015, ISO14001:2015, ISO45001:2018, preferred Lean Six Sigma GB certified

Expertise in supplier Process and sustainability Audits and Customer complaints handling. Incoming, In process and Final quality inspections, CTS/CTQ/CTP

Experience in Quality/Process Improvement Tools: 4Q,L6S, 7QC tools, FMEA, QAP/QCP, VSM, APQP/PPAP

Ability to achieve business competitive excellence through process improvement, decision making & problem-solving tools

SAP ERP QM & MM, MS-Office (mainly: excel, word & power point, Power BI), MS-Visio, MS Projects, preferred Minitab

Willing to work in production shifts
