The Lead Software Engineer plays a key role within each phase of the software development lifecycle. This individual will work cross functionally with the company’s infrastructure, security, data warehouse, and other development teams to provide customer-centric solutions and build a world-class platform to meet the exploding growth of the company and business demands.

Job Description:

• Develop and maintain Java service-oriented architecture platforms from start to finish

• Validating requirements

• Create technical specifications

• System design

• Development of complex SQL and NoSQL queries

• Support build and deployments

• Integration/enterprise testing

• Applications support/troubleshooting within UAT/Production environments

• Provide mentorship to junior-mid level developers

• Extend the functionality of existing microservices and design and develop new ones

• Challenge and redefine existing architectural fundamentals to provide the next level of performance and scalability

• Integrate microservices into our cloud-native Kubernetes based ecosystem

• Promote, enhance, and ensure the SDLC is adhered to

• Foresee post-deployment design challenges, performance, and scale bottlenecks

Qualifications

• 8+ years of system development experience with 2+ years leading a team

• Solid understanding of Agile or SCRUM development process and software release processes

• Must be a self-starter who is highly organized, hands-on, and a team player

• Detail oriented, with strong written and verbal communication

• Strong conceptual knowledge of: Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Microservice architecture, DevOps processes and CI/CD

• Strong Java skills: Core Java/Java EE, Spring

• Experience with working on frameworks: Spring, JDBC, Hibernate, Webservices (REST)

• SQL & NoSQL experience

• Experience in REST APIs design

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with AWS cloud technologies (queues, storage, security, caches, …)

• Experience in Linux, Docker, Kubernetes management

• Front-end skills: Html, CSS, typescript, Angular
