Role Purpose
Responsible for completely new mine project development, commissioning and operations which includes land acquisition (Private, Govt, Forest), completing project studies, public hearing, project construction and my operations. Also responsible for Operations, P&L, compliances, and safety of mines.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete the Project construction and commissioning
- Complete transfer and mutation of CA land and private land if any.,
- Ensure completion of Biodiversity report from ICFRE
- Complete all mine activities such as Mine plan design, Washery, Conveyor, Haulage Road, magazine, and site offices as per Project Schedule
- Complete Land acquisition and R&R people engagement for project for harmonious relations
- Interact with – MoC, Government Offices (through CA team), vendors, TCD, HR, Finance and Ahmedabad team on Planning & Finance.
- Complete Project construction and commissioning
- Complete GR and exploration drilling
- Obtain Forest clearance /EC/CA approvals
- Complete SES study, Wildlife Mgmt. Plan and Other studies
- Complete Land acquisition and R&R people engagement for project for harmonious relations
- Prepare DPR, CAPEX, OPEX budgets
- Complete GR and exploration drilling

- Complete Land acquisition and R&R people engagement for GP project for harmonious relations
- Provide a safety leadership in project management work. Ensuring safety provisions right from planning stage in all development activities for mine opening.
- Liaison with govt / local bodies & managing clearances (forest & environment),
- Selection & optimization of mining system, technology & equipment,
- Engineering, planning, and management of mine infrastructure development,
- Ensure that environmental policies & measures are implemented
- Develop and maintain good relations with local bodies and government agencies with responsibilities related to mining operations and development
- Design, develop and implement mining strategies that ensure mine achieves production, productivity & efficiency target with safety
- Ensure that the mining development is sufficient to allow for coal production with quality commitment, minimize dilution & maximize recovery
- Ensure dynamic mine infrastructures (power supply, water supply, de-watering systems) are in place & there is adequate availability of land for mining
- Ensure sufficient availability of diesel, explosives / blasting accessories, equipment spares / consumables and other supplies.
- Set goals, review performance, and provide feedback to team members to ensure a motivated and committed team
- Identify development needs of team members and develop Individual Development Plans (IDP)
- Develop team members on current and future functional focus areas aligned to the capability matrix and IDP guidelines
- Foster an environment of learning, excellence, and innovation within the team
