Job Purpose: Supervisor – Backup Fertilizer and Minerals Operations supports the Shift In Charge by overseeing specific operational tasks related to the handling of fertilizer and mineral cargo. This role focuses on supervising day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance with operational procedures, and maintaining high safety standards.

Responsibilities

Operational Support:

Provide on-ground supervision of fertilizer and mineral cargo handling, ensuring efficient execution of operations.

Resource Management

Assist in deploying resources, including equipment and labor, to maintain continuous cargo operations during the shift.

Safety Compliance

Support the enforcement of safety standards and protocols, ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and in compliance with regulations.

Housekeeping Maintenance

Manage housekeeping within the cargo handling and storage areas, promoting cleanliness and orderliness to enhance operational safety.

Continous Process Improvement

Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to initiatives that aim to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of cargo handling.

Documentation And Reporting

Prepare and maintain accurate records of shift operations, including cargo handling rates and resource utilization.

Digital Mindset

Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Head of Section – Dry Cargo Operations, Head of Section- Logistics, Head of Section – Back up operations, minerals and FCC, Line manager – Backup fertilizer and mineral operations, Shift In Charge – Backup fertilizer and minerals operations, Other Department Heads & Direct reportees

Any Graduate

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required) 8-14 years in Vessel Operation/ Yard Operation/ Fertilizer/ Steel in any Port/ CHP etc
