Basic Qualifications
The AWS Leadership Program (ALP) program is a comprehensive journey for students who are aspiring for a career in Business Development and Customer facing roles and are passionate to help customers in their cloud journey. Rightly called as the AWS Sales Academy, participants of the program undergo various on the job experiences, trainings and enablement to help them grow as full-fledged customer facing professionals at the end of the 24 month journey.
The goal for the first rotation of 12 months will be to develop sales, business acumen, partner development motions, via shadowing tenured leaders, learning the business value mapping process, understanding the sales cycle and on the job application and get exposure to different types of partners. The participants will understand about different AWS businesses and customer segments in India, understand how to do a sales pitch or work with different types of partners, how to position AWS, prospecting skills, differentiate between potential and tough customers/ partners, build new customers and plans for new and existing partners, get introduced to cross-functional teams and get well versed with the internal tools and mechanisms.
In the second rotation, the ALP participant will be in an Account manager/ Partner Development Manager/ Business Development/ Program Management role aligned to a leader.
The ALP participant will independently execute responsibilities for selected roles customers. Candidates will learn AWS messaging, prospecting for leads, advanced selling skills, account planning, advanced partner development and management skills, partner planning, be responsible for go-to-market planning, drive proposals, manage interactions with senior level customers/ partners and build executive relationships. The participants will also learn to plan and manage large scale customer events like Webinars, Immersion Days, Game Days and in-Residence weeks. In business development roles, ALP will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of AWS in selected domain, solve mission mode projects to target, define services adoption strategy, building the necessary business and technical relationships with customers.
In PM roles, ALPs will be responsible for expanding and deepening adoption of AWS programs by supporting education and government customers, to enable learners to build cloud skills and connecting to cloud job openings, have opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mindshare and develop, maintain and focus on senior leaders within government’s workforce and public education for broad adoption of AWS programs.
