Job summary
Amazon Treasury seeks a Foreign Exchange Trader to join the Trading team supporting Amazon’s global foreign exchange and fixed income investment activities. The main responsibilities will focus on foreign exchange, fixed income and CP execution, as well as reporting, analysis, and process improvement. The successful candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity and balancing multiple competing priorities, and will be required to work closely with banking counterparties to establish new and develop existing relationships. This analyst will work cross-functionally both within Treasury and with the broad and diverse set of Amazon business lines. This position requires a self-starter who will work to continuously improve Treasury processes while maintaining a rigorous control environment and compliance with various Amazon policies.
Key responsibilities include:

• Execute foreign exchange and fixed income trades required to fund Amazon’s global business
• Create and monitor reports that track Amazon Treasury’s global foreign exchange trading activities
• Perform risk analyses related to foreign exchange and interest rate risk as required by both Amazon Treasury and other internal business partners
• Work with internal groups including AWS, Global Payments, Accounts Payable, Accounting, Legal, and Tax on new business initiatives and customer facing process improvements
• Develop, enhance, and standardize processes related to FX trading/reporting and fixed income investment trading/reporting

• Familiarity or experience with Bloomberg
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• The ability to self-start and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Keen attention to detail
• Experience with building VBA models in Excel
