• Developing SOP for new finishes is a major challenge because of uncertainty in result. So, the standardization takes time through trial-and-error process.
• Problems requiring urgent attention need to be properly identified as they are directly related to quality. Certain m/c parts require a lot of time to arrive after raising the indent. This happens in case of sudden malfunctioning of equipment like roller. This may lead to production loss.
• Setting the dry dye weight in accordance with experience is very important because of its delicate nature. A slight change in the weight can lead to completely different shade.
• Reducing RP is the biggest challenge because it involves considerable time, cost, and resources. Therefore, process control is important.

KRA1 Process Control & Parameter Observation

• Monitoring of all machines daily for all crucial parameters like speed, temperature, chemical dosing, etc. as per SOP.
• Identify defects in fabric visually due to machine/manpower/method faults, etc. and taking corrective action for the same.
• Creating and revising the SOPs for processing existing/new finished goods like soft finish, white finish, Easy to Iron finish, self-care finish, etc.
• Ensuring that the process flow is adhered to, and all the standardized parameters are followed.

KRA2 Machine Health Improvement

• Machine problems are categorized in A B C according to urgency and consulting engineering for maintenance.
• Identifying all m/c problems and categorizing them according to their intensity and urgency for maintenance by engineering and engineering consultants.

KRA3 Right First Time in dyeing

• Setting the dry dye weight in accordance to experience and system requirement.
• Silicate twaddle checking in silicate tank to ensure standard shade is achieved.
• Cross checking of parameters and the process during the dyeing operation always to ensure RFT

KRA4 Reduction of Reprocessing and Downgraded Goods

• Ensuring finished packing returns from warehouse are at a minimum.
• Doing the Root Cause Analysis and informing the concerned person about the problems like stain, rust, dust, greasing, improper handling, process, etc.
• Minimizing the B grading goods at the finished warehouse by taking them into reprocessing.
• Identifying the removable defects for the above and promptly attending the same.

KRA5 Manpower Management

• Training the manpower for important processes and monitoring of important parameters for new processes
• Ensuring that all personnel are aware of the mending procedures for reprocessing, through multiskilling and OTJ training.

KRA6 Safety and Sustainability

• Ensure that all workmen wear the safety PPEs and follow safety norms in their task
• Ensure that SOPs for new processes confirm to the defined standard of sustainability to minimize wastage and optimize the consumption of resources.
