Supporting Actions

• Conceptualization & Basic Engineering
• Preparing the project base line including the objectives and scope, project execution plan.
• Conceptualization of General civil & Structure standards (GES).
• Identifying Infra- Structure facility requirements
• Review & finalize the technical scope for suppliers.
• Review & finalize the Technical Scheme
• Budget, Tendering & Ordering support
• Identify of Major Equipment required for Budget proposal along with Technology Provider & O&M Team.
• Inviting budgetary offer from various vendors, for preparing Expansion Project Cost estimation.
• Preparation of project budget for civil scope.
• Reviewing of various documents, received from the engineering consultants & vendors.
• Reviewing the datasheets/specifications, BOQ, resource assessment for service contractors.
• Vendor Evaluation & approval
• Conducting Pre-Bid meeting with Vendors for clarifications
• Technical Bid Evaluation
• Initiating Purchase requisition of material’s/ equipment’s and service requisition for erection and commissioning services.
• Coordinating with the commercial team for releasing the purchase / service orders.
• Coordinating with the service contractors for early mobilization of manpower and resources to the site.
• Planning & Schedule Monitoring
• Monitoring Project progress & Major milestones as per Schedule
• Preparation of civil work milestones for the entire project EPCM & LSTK contracts.
• Review detailed construction plans and schedules of Contractors to match the Overall Schedule
• Develop catch up plan based on critical path to bring back the project on schedule in case of any slippage.
• Coordination with other departments for smooth execution of the erection works along with the front availabilities.
• Review of status of jobs, completion schedule and expediting progress for timely completion, billing status, cash flow requirement for achieving smooth progress of job
• Progress monitoring and submission of Daily Progress Report & monthly progress reports with S-curves.
• Project Engineering/ Construction
• Development and preparation of all general arrangement and equipment layout drawings & Preparation of master area layout including all infra-structure facilities such as Road, Storm water drains, Sewer lines, utility lines etc
• Conducting Geo- Technical investigation
• Detail Engineering and drawings of all Plant structures, Pipe Racks, silos, equipment Foundations, Utility Structures, Non Plant Buildings etc.
• Conducting third party vetting of Design for critical structures.
• MTO for cement, reinforcement/ structural steel etc.
• 3D model review (2 nos – 30%, 70%)
• Checking and review of vendor’s critical fabrication drawings,
• Interface management between consultant and vendors.
• Front allocation based on site requirement.
• Stake-holder management for smooth construction activities.
• Take up the critical path of construction.
• Follow up the highest standard of safety management at site.
• Implementation of best practices of technology at site.
• Project commissioning, ramp-up & Contract Closure
• Planning of pre-commissioning and commissioning with the Projects construction Team and O&M Teams and Senior Management to ensure smooth handover of project.
• review of punch point compliances performance acceptance test, closing of job with no dues and no claims from contractor, reconciliation of free issue materials/ royalty of materials, finalizing penalties, if any etc.
• Documentation of all type of drawings, layouts, data sheets related to civil & Structure. Ensuring submission of as-built drawings of all LSTK Contractors, Consultant and EPCM contractors.
• Project handover to the end user after completion of all jobs and contract closure
• Lesson learnt report from the entire duration of project period.
• Cost Control, Quality Control and Safety Compliance
• Optimization during detailed Engginering with focused deliberations with Engg Consultants, close monitoring of the BOQ and look for innovative Cost effective solutions/alternate way of doing the job.
• Monitor the cost baseline for each section/package in order to ensure that total cost is within approved budget limit.
• Keep tracking of bill payment for all vendors and timely release of payment as per plan & as per agreed Terms and Conditions.
• Review & Approval of Billing Milestones as part of Contract payment term and conditions
• Review project deliverables as per timeline and take corrective action to expedite delays in order to mitigate cost overruns.
• Ensure all quality documents, QAP, Technical Specifications etc are in place and strict implementation of QAP including relevant field and Lab Tests, Calibrations of testing eqpts, TC of materials etc and proper upkeep of documents
• Conducting field & Lab Tests and ensure adherence to QAP
• Strict compliance to Technical specifications
• Maintaining proper documentation w.r.t field measurements, quality documents, internal communications and billing related documents and change of management documents
• Strict adherence to Safety guidelines and Permit to work system to achieve zero harm at site
• Ensure tool box talk, JSA etc, conducting Safety & Quality audits at regular intervals
• People training , development and engagement
• Attending training of the project planning & scheduling and ensuring implementation of the same on particularly in the areas of project management techniques.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives within the team including team off-sites, celebration of achievements. events, etc.
• Documentation
• Maintaining complete documents set like GAD, Construction Drawings, Enquiry documents, TBA, TR, As Built Drawings, O&M Manuals, and QA/QP etc. All these documents should be maintained in systematic & easy retrieval way.
• Coordinating with the suppliers/ vendors for final documentation of project.

• Project conceptualization and preparing the project proposal, Coordinating with various internal and external teams to analyze expansion plans
• Facilitating for preparing the project base line including the objectives and scope, project execution plan.
• Review of Project Execution plan of various contractors
• Finalize the technical and financial scope for service providers and coordinate with commercial team for negotiations and final selection.
• Facilitating for structural stability certificate for obtaining amended “Factory License.”

Budget, Tendering & Ordering support

• Vendor Evaluation
• Inviting budgetary offer from various vendors, for preparing Expansion Project Cost estimation.
• Preparation of cost estimate for civil & structural scope.
• Reviewing of various documents, received from the engineering consultants & vendors.
• Preparation/ Freezing of specifications & BOQ for service contractors.
• Conducting Pre-Bid meeting with Vendors for clarifications
• Technical Bid Evaluation
• Initiating Purchase requisition of material’s/ equipment’s and service requisition

Project Engineering/ Construction

• Freezing of Design basis in consultation with Engineering Consultant.
• Review of Consultant’s Design for Sheds, buildings, Equipment foundation etc including all infra-structure facilities such as Road, Storm water drains, Sewer lines, utility lines
• Checking/ review of Engineering documents including AFC Dwgs, released by the Engineering Consultant
• Conducting soil investigation
• Conducting third party vetting of Design for critical structures.
• MTO for cement, reinforcement/ structural steel etc.
• Checking and review of vendor’s critical fabrication drawings,
• Interface management between consultant and vendors.
• Creation of Front for construction work and handing over the front to other agency for equipment erection as per the priorities.
• Ensuring the highest standard of safety management at site.
• Implementation of best practices of technology at site.

Construction Management/ Supervision

• Review detailed construction plans and schedules of Contractors to match the Overall Schedule.
• Review construction field team proposed by Contractors and monitor for deployment at site including mobilization of specialized services.
• Conduct periodic review meetings with Contractors.
• To ensure that plant construction by contractors is in compliance with construction requirements.
• Field Planning, Scheduling & monitoring of progress keeping in view overall schedule of 1 the project.
• Carry out Technical Audits from time to time to verify that work is performed as per Quality assurance Plan.
• Preparation & implementation of Safety Procedures at SITE
• Final contract closure.

Cost & Quality Management

• Reviewing periodically project activities to ensure compliance to organizational policies and statutory requirements.
• Liaison with government authorities to obtain statutory clearances.
• Monitor smooth execution of operations while ensuring adhering to implementation of ‘Zero Harm’.
• Oversee management of industrial relations in order to ensure safe and conducive work environment at project site.
• Monitor activities on site to ensure compliance to safety and environmental standards and undertake corrective action post safety audit, as and when required.

People training , development and engagement

• Identify manpower training needs as per requirements of the project execution and ensuring the same on particularly in the areas of project management techniques.
• Develop, review and monitor manpower deployment plan.
• Monitor manpower performance and identify programs for skill-building to bridge identified gaps, if any.
