Benefits Specialist
The Benefits Specialist will administer the day-to-day delivery of Advance’s benefit programs. This role is the lead for all benefits administration, including ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of funding and payment for all health, wellness and voluntary US benefits programs. This role also serves as a point of contact for all team members who may experience benefit program issues or have questions. S/He will play a significant role in partnering internally with the benefits, payroll and accounts payable teams to ensure best-in-class service and advocacy for our team members.
The incumbent in this role should have strong attention to detail, accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic and high-growth company. This role will report to the Benefits Director.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day support activities, including, but not limited to:
Care for our Team Members: Assisting team members with questions and resolution of benefits matters, including enrollment and medical claims
Benefit Payment and Funding Administration: Process bills and funding of health and wellness benefits on a weekly basis. Partner with the accounting team on any payment resolution to ensure timeliness and accuracy of payments. Work with payroll as needed on deduction resolution and direct billing process.
Vendor Management: Work with health and wellness partners as needed to resolve team member issues or improve the program experience
Reporting: Produce and send reports, as needed, to ensure benefits eligibility is accurate or for reconciliation.
Records Management: Maintains records and procedures for administration and assists in the ongoing management of all materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan documents including the maintenance of this material on the internal portals
Annual Audits: Support annual audits and benefit portal testing, as needed

Experience in benefit administration

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with an ability to adjust one’s style to meet the audience’s needs
Excellent project management skills, ability to multi-task and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
1 – 2 years of benefit administration experience
Workday experience highly desirable, Moderate to advance Excel experience preferred.
