SUMMARY
The Manager, Master Data Management should possess the skillset to develop and implement data quality policies, standards and procedures for the location domain. The Manager, Master Data Management will serve as the single point-of-contact for the metadata related to the store location domain and its attributes and be a lead data steward and the subject matter expert for the location master. The Manager, Master Data Management will also define and manage the data governance for the store location domain.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Demonstrate strong written and oral communication abilities while interacting with all levels of the organization.
Responsible to document and implement data quality policies, standards, and procedures for the location domain
Manage and serve as the single point-of-contact for all the metadata related to the location domain and its attributes and have the complete data lineage captured and managed in the Metadata tool
Manage the data taxonomy, reference data management, business interaction model, and master data management for the store location domain
Manage the store location’s business glossary including the data assets, data lineage, business terms, definitions, acronyms, and synonyms for all the store location attributes.
Develop and manage the data governance for the location master and serve as the liaison to the data governance team for the store location master
Manage the communication plan to make sure all the data consumers are aware of the data governance strategies and any changes
Monitor, and revise as needed, the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the location domain and escalate it to the data governance council for communication and remediation if there is variation which needs attention.
Serve as the subject matter expert for the location domain for the organization and a thought leader in terms what needs to managed and improved to better serve our customers
Define and manage the service level agreement (SLA) for the location domain in terms of Workflow management and follow-ups with the business stakeholders
Define and manage the operational level agreement (OLA) for the location domain within AAP to make sure that the interfaces works as per the defined guidelines
Work as a lead data steward and work hand-in-hand with the data custodians for the store location domain to make any changes to the location data using the Reltio User Interface and communicate to the impacted data consumers
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in defining and implementing the data governance best practices (min 2-4 years)
Experience in building data governance function
Experience as a data steward responsible for the Metadata Management, Data quality, KPI, Dashboard, etc. (min 2-4 years)
Experience in documenting the data flow & process mapping (min 1-2 years)
Strong experience in documenting the data requirements, data rules (Standardization, Cleanse, & Validation), SOPs, and Service Agreements.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and written communication skills to frequently interact with all levels of the organization
Ability to cultivate relationships with cross-functional key stakeholders and teams to achieve business objectives and drive strategic change
Strong analytical skill to troubleshoot the issues, analyze the cause, quickly come-up with the possible solution(s), document the changes, and communicate to the data governance council
Proven ability to be a strategic thinker to drive the necessary ownership and data governance within the organization
Ability to evaluate risks and provide business recommendations / solutions in a timely manner
Ability to remain calm in high stress situations while navigating and leading during times of conflict
Prior experience in using MDM tools such Informatica Data Director, Reltio UI, etc., (preferred)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in information science, data management, computer science or related field preferred
2-4 years of experience as a lead data steward
2-4 years of experience using the Metadata Management tool such as Collibra, Okera, etc.,
1-2 years of experience in workflow management using the Business Process Manager
1-2 years of experience in using data wrangling such as Trifacta, Paxata, etc., OR data profiling tools such as IDQ, Atacama DQ, etc.
1-2 years of experience in writing SQLs and strong RDBMS experience
