JOB TITLE HERE
THE ROLE:
Exciting opportunity within the Embedded BIOS/AGESA development team working on latest cutting-edge embedded CPU/APU technologies. In this role you will be responsible to design, develop, and debug AGESA/coreboot for AMD platforms.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate has experience doing coreboot ports, platform bring up, and support through product launch of coreboot/UEFI based x86 platforms. Need strong problem-solving skills, with a collaborative can-do attitude. Strong knowledge of computer architecture and low-level programming in C
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain coreboot for AMD reference boards
• Add support for AMD CPU/APUs in coreboot
• Participant in day-to-day firmware development work using x86 assembly and C languages.
• Work with internal and external teams to ensure highest level of quality and satisfaction throughout firmware lifecycle.
• Must be well-organized, technically oriented, and a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and coordinate activities with geographically distributed technical teams.
• Desire to work and succeed on fast-paced and highly dynamic environments.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 4+ years of experience in coreboot development
• Total 8+ years of experience in x86 BIOS development
• In depth understanding of coreboot architecture and internals
• Experience with Intel® Firmware Support Package is desirable
• Experience with x86 CPU/APU architectures and associated compilation tools
• Expert in C language; knowledge of x86 assembly.
• Experience with platform bring-up.
• Hands on experience with hardware debugging tools like AMD HDT, ITP, Arium, etc.
• Able to read and interpret hardware schematics.
• Knowledge of ACPI, USB, NVMe, SATA, PCIe, and other PC industry standards.
• Knowledge of low-level protocols including I2c, I3c, SPI, eSPI, UART, etc. is expected.
• Hands on experience working with Reference Boards.
• Strong communication skills

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech/M.S. in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering
