Role Overview: As the Communications Head, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organization’s mission forward, building public support, and ensuring the organization’s impact is effectively communicated to create positive change. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that effectively convey our message to various stakeholders, including donors, partners, beneficiaries, and the public.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a strategic communications plan aligned with our NGO’s mission, goals, and target audience to enhance the NGO’s visibility and impact.
Create and oversee the production of engaging content for multiple platforms, including website, blog articles, social media, campaigns, press releases, newsletters, brochures, annual reports, events, marketing materials and other communication materials.
Manage and update the organisation’s website content to ensure it remains up-to-date and relevant.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand organisational objectives and to gather stories, testimonials, data to showcase the NGO’s achievements and ensure the consistency of messaging and branding.
Maintain open lines of communication with donors and potential supporters to encourage donations and maintain donor engagement. This may include impact reports, success stories, and updates on the NGO’s projects.
Monitor and analyze communication and content performance metrics to measure the effectiveness & impact and adapt strategies accordingly.
Lead a team of dedicated communication team and provide mentorship and guidance to ensure the team’s success.
Support the development and execution of public relations activities and media outreach efforts.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in communication and content creation.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
Proven experience 15+ years in communications roles, preferably in the nonprofit sector or a related industry.
Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in digital marketing, social media management, and content creation.
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
