Amex’s Risk Products & Data Strategy is at the core of delivering the outstanding customer experience while handling credit and fraud losses at lowest levels in the industry. With our mix of assets like closed-loop data, machine learning models, underwriting techniques on a modern technology stack we are re-imagining how payment experiences & risk management converge in a more modern, digital, and connected world.
The Business Logic Management within Risk Products & Data Strategy implements Strategies across Onboarding (Credit & Fraud), Customer Management & Authorization, in addition to managing the structured Risk Data from internal as well as external sources. This team is responsible for defining and driving the transformation and modernization of risk management products across risk technology platforms. We develop, and design logic used in risk management automation that is durable, scalable, easy to deploy and transparent to business strategy partners in real-time and batch environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Focuses on developing technical solutions and capabilities to manage data and execute credit and fraud risk strategies.
Lead team within Risk and Product Data Strategy for development of business logic across varying risk management lifecycle.
Deliver global, standard, and flexible business capabilities that are well documented, meet compliance requirements and rapidly adapt to address changing business needs.
Adhere to design and quality guidelines and serve as a content expert in their respective use cases and journey.
Drive insights and analytics to support decision making for senior risk leadership
Drive automation initiatives within existing processes and fully optimize delivery effort and processing time.
Effectively manage relationship with multiple risk stakeholders across multiple geographies
Contribute into evaluating and/or developing right tools, common components, and capabilities
Follow industry best agile practices to deliver on key priorities
Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative technologies
Provides continuous support for ongoing application availability
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate or Post Graduate in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Products or related field.
5 years relevant experience in performing or leading Product Development or similar roles.
Strong hands-on Experience on working with Hadoop, SAS/SQL, Hive.
Knowledge of Amex data and Risk Technology platforms preferred
Deep and broad expertise in consumer or commercial risk management encompassing knowledge of processes and systems is a big plus
Proven technical experience with various big data & distributed suite of technologies (HIVE, MapReduce, SQL.)
Proficiency in managing development with low-code & no-code tools with focus on solving core business problem
Experience in driving efficiency in authoring practices
