Purpose of the Role:
This exciting role will support the Business Rules Global Onboarding and Orchestration (GO2) Product Development including the global standardization, design, development and maintenance of highly complex Acquisition and Decision Business Rules. Business Rules define a card member’s journey who apply for an American Express product; they guide the application through all stages of the process, including credit checks, Know Your Customer/Business (KYC/KYB), approval decisioning, as well as feeds into American Express downstream systems which complete the process, including issuing the physical card.
We are searching for a Java Senior Developer to help evolve our product and contribute to migrate existing acquisition markets from legacy platforms to our point of arrival Java platform aka unify . This work will transform the Customer Experience by further enabling GO2 as a business composable platform delivering faster features, products, & new market launches with minimum development effort. This Developer will drive and develop process automation including end-to end Java workflows and rules through flexible business components and journeys.
Skills/Qualifications:
5 years of experience in Java software design and development.
Strong knowledge of Java (or other business rules engine / open-source technology).
Deep knowledge of Business Rules and Business Process Management (BPM) and proven ability to create solutions from the ground up.
Knowledge on new account acquisitions and PEGA BPM tool is a PLUS.
Strong leadership, proven communication and relationship management skills.
Curiosity and hunger to know how things work and ability to use that knowledge to find enhancement opportunities
Good grasp of various Agile methodologies and relates tools : SAFe, Scrum, Rally, JIRA.
Proven self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Technology proficient to understand how the current systems fit with the enterprise-wide vision of GO2.
PC skills – Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Visio etc.
Qualifications
Academic Background:
Bachelors or master’s Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field (or has equivalent professional work experience.
Functional/Technical Skills
Strong understanding of credit/fraud Risk
Understanding of Technology/project management methodologies like Agile, Kanban
Proficient with Python, Hive
Hands-on experience on big data, data warehousing and familiarity with model implementation life cycle in an enterprise.
