What You Will Do:

• Setup guidelines for PCB component library standardization & drive sustenance of the component engineering processes/guidelines across the organization

• Analyze the Bill-of-Materials (BoM) for supplier diversity, part standardization & work with design engineers & supply-chain team to optimize the BoM

• Develop & maintain the component engineering framework

• Develop & maintain the component derating guidelines

• Selection of alternate components to improve the cost, quality & availability

• Collaborate with component manufacturers & distributors to understand the state-of-the-art and drive the best practices across the design teams

• Identify cost-saving opportunities & collaborate with the design engineering teams for implementation

• Qualify the alternate components in collaboration with the design engineering team

• Setup & drive the new component creation process

• Collaborate with component manufacturers & design engineering to enable faster availability of component samples for quick prototyping of new design ideas

• Collaborate with supply-chain team to minimize the purchase price variance (PPV) risk

• Engage with cross-functional teams (CFTs) to ensure successful project delivery

• Communicate effectively throughout the organization.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of demonstrated successful experience in electronics component engineering

• Understanding of the electronic component specifications & application usage

• Familiarity with BoM analysis

• Advanced knowledge/exposure to PCB library management tools. Altium library management would be added advantage.

• Understanding of High Voltage / Low Voltage Battery Management System (BMS) or Power Conversion Systems

• Familiarity with the product development life cycle

• Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing process

• Knowledge in environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for Automotive.

• Knowledge of debugging & measuring instruments, like DSO, DMM, Datalogger, Power Supplies, Electronic Load, LCR Meter, etc.

• B.E./B.Tech., M.E./MTech. in Electrical Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communications Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.
