Assists the consultants and embryologist in carrying out procedures in the IVF unit / laboratory

Comforts and educates the patient about the procedure.

Collects semen from the patient and performs the semen analysis appropriately.

Ability to perform Sperm preparation procedure and follow strict Standard Operating procedures of the lab

Checks and freezes semen samples under the supervision of Embryologist.

Maintains all equipments of IVF lab in coordination with Biomedical engineering department.

Is involved in the cleaning of all the equipments in the IVF lab and ensures their sterilization under the supervision of embryologist

Labels samples and specimens correctly.

Follows laid down procedures so as to ensure patient’s safety.

Performs proper recordings of all the procedures and ensures that they are maintained properly

Follows confidentiality guidelines and adheres to ethical issues.

Possesses knowledge of infection control and biomedical waste management.

Ensures updating of the knowledge of the procedures.

Ensures JCI compliance in accordance with the departmental requirements.
