Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on chemistry related to semiconductor integration with a special focus on development of surface chemistries.
• Develop internal chemistry capabilities and mentor junior chemists.
• Develop a deep understanding of structure-function relationships for the product chemical application. Supports customer in understanding details of chemical process.
• Successfully transfer chemical processes to product groups.

Functional Knowledge

• Surface chemistry, electrochemistry, lasers, chemical-vapor deposition, organic synthetic chemistry, materials and surface characterization by advanced microscopy and spectroscopy
  • Track record of success & several years of experience beyond MS, PhD in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry
• CVD/ALD process & gas chemical reaction experience would be an added advantage

• Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services

• May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/ or complexity

Education and Experience MS/ PhD in physical chemistry with 4-5 years industry experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry

• The chemist is expected to lead physical chemistry & integration projects:
  • Define clear goals
  • Set clear timelines and drive projects to success
  • Own lab process development including tech transfer & scale up
  • Actively participate in projects as an individual contributor
• Maintain high technical standards in the team by:
  • Being up to date with latest developments in the relevant fields
  • Coach and train, be available as a source of knowledge to the team
  • Helping team members with careful experimentation, analysis and presentation of results
• Be point of scientific contact for:
  • Academics at IIT Mumbai
  • Academics in India
