W HAT YOU ’ LL DO AT A THER :
Lead the function to plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material flow from
point-of-supply to point-of-use for the finished good/ product and also for the spares/ component
and sub-component level parts required for completion of the final product as well as plant
maintenance.
Driving the equilibrium between Production and Inventory Planning in consultation with the Supply
Operations division of the organization.
Develop a model to assess long term component requirements against different planning scenarios
vis-a-vis capacity of the OEMs in consultation with Supplier Managers.
Be able to understand, calculate and manage multiple risks (Domestic/ Global, Internal/ External)
with respect to Material Planning to minimize the impact of material management on supply, sales &
operations plan.
Identify the constraints of material management which affect production targets and take corrective
actions in relation to Own the KPI of Inventory Turn Ratio and drive it across organization.
Minimize exposure to excess and obsolete stock and ensure minimum financial liability.
Drive Backward integration of Supply Chain with Material & Inventory Planning.
Lead the engineering change implementation in Supply Chain function.
Actively contribute to the development and support of material planning processes and benchmark
against best practices in the industry.
Lead the team for continuous improvements in sync with the Supply Chain Design group.
Be in sync with all the stakeholders across verticals as well as across horizontals, through the Head
of Department, for smooth functioning of the Material Forecasting and Planning.
H ERE ’ S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :
Proficiency of working on SAP platform related to Logistics function of an organization
Prior experience of Inventory Management and Analytics
Prior experience in the Planning function of the Manufacturing Unit/ Plant.
Certified experience in material forecasting, material planning and understanding of different
planning methodologies/ strategies across industries/ sectors. Automotive sector would be
preferred .
Past experience and knowledge of various types of Bill of Materials and exposure of leading time
scheduling practices/ methods 6.
Ability to thrive under pressure
Ability to deliver positive results and manage challenging timelines/ deadlines
Strong planning, process management, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Minimum of 04 – 06 years experience in leading a team of size of minimum 20 people
Support in Interviewing and hiring new Managers
Atleast 02 to 03 years of experience of reporting directly the Level – 2 or Senior Management level
positions of an organization.

B.E/ M. E in Industrial engineering, Automobile Engineering, Production Engineering or
Mechanical engineering
MBA in Operation Management or Equivalent Certification form a Tier 1 – Tier 2 institute
