Position Overview

Imagine, Design and Create a Better World is our vision at Autodesk. Autodesk is seeking a motivated and experienced Sr Software Engineer to join Partner Web Services team within the Order Capture Platform. In this role, you will be building and delivering innovative solutions for our API platform. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in the modernization and simplification of our order capture platform and enable business model flexibility in a lean/agile environment by contributing to an organization committed to continuous improvement.

Here’s a peek at the technologies we use: JavaScript, NodeJS, Java, GraphQL, Ruby, Python, AWS Serverless Cloud Architecture with IaC using Terraform. Agile, Scrum, CI/CD, TDD and other best practices.

Responsibilities

• Involved with all aspects of software development, working to create and maintain the most reliable, secure, performant and high throughput service for our customers by leveraging cutting-edge cloud technology

• Partner closely with product managers, product owners, software architects and other stakeholders to iteratively turn high level requirements into product enhancements that are delivered to customers incrementally and continually

• Design, code, test, debug and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needs

• Build high quality code following unit testing and test-driven development

• Drive and participate in code and document reviews, mentoring team in best practices

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or MS in computer science, related technology field, or equivalent experience

• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud services and applications

• Experience with JavaScript in Node.js and web browser environment

• REST API development experience

• Experience with GIT or equivalent version control system

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) experience

• Strong written and oral communication skills in English

• Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and a deployment pipeline such as Jenkins

• Detail oriented approach to building secure, stable, software

• Experience with Agile development practices such as Scrum or Kanban

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work Experience with Ruby, Javascript, Java

• Experience developing SaaS applications with AWS deployments

-Knowledgeable about AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront

-Experience building APIs with Serverless framework

-Not afraid to take on DevOps tasks to improve developer experience and delivery

• Demonstrated commitment to high quality user facing and back end code that is usable, maintainable and well thought out
