OverviewThe SAP ABAP Workflow Consultant with CDS & S4HANA plays a crucial role in designing and implementing complex workflow processes within an organization. As part of our IT team, the consultant will be responsible for the enhancement and optimization of workflow applications in the S4HANA environment. Leveraging knowledge in ABAP programming and Core Data Services (CDS), the consultant will collaborate with various stakeholders to streamline business operations and improve overall efficiency. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and a strong understanding of business processes, which will enable the consultant to tailor solutions that meet organizational needs. By doing so, this role is pivotal in enhancing user experience and ensuring seamless integration between various SAP modules. The consultant will also be responsible for maintaining documentation, conducting training sessions, and providing ongoing support to users, making this a multifaceted position that contributes significantly to the organization’s overall success.Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement SAP ABAP workflows within the S4HANA platform.
• Create and optimize CDS views to enhance data accessibility and reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Test and debug workflow applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding workflow functionalities.
• Engage in code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices and performance standards.
• Analyze and optimize existing workflows to improve process efficiency.
• Document technical specifications and workflow configurations for future reference.
• Integrate SAP Fiori applications with ABAP workflows for an enhanced user interface.
• Participate in project meetings to provide updates on workflow development progress.
• Work closely with other SAP team members to ensure cohesive inter-module functionality.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to SAP workflows.
• Stay updated on the latest SAP technologies and methodologies for continuous improvement.
• Create functional specifications for custom workflows when standard processes do not meet requirements.
• Support change management activities related to workflow process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP programming.
• Proven experience with SAP S4HANA and workflow design.
• Strong knowledge of Core Data Services (CDS) and OData services.
• Experience with SAP Fiori and user experience design is preferred.
• Certification in SAP ABAP is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in Agile project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with debugging tools and techniques in SAP environments.
