Required Exposure:

• At least 5 years of experience in Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow.
• Sound understanding of auto-code generation using embedded coder.
• Ability to customize code generation as per requirement.
• Experience of writing C-Mex s-functions
• Experience integrating existing (legacy) code into model-based design applications
• Proficient in C/C++ and associated compilers.
• Exposure to any scripting language, PERL or Python.

Preferred add-ons:

• Understanding of OBD, UDS, CAN
• Exposure to automotive data acquisition tools from vector, intrepid etc.
• Exposure to ECU calibration and measurement using INCA.
• Familiarity with software version control tools like SVN

BAL – embedded Systems has created a layered software architecture wherein the application software is envisioned to be developed as auto-code generation from MATLAB simulink models. So as to be compatible with the underlying layers of the software architecture stack, we have created customized Simulink libraries that can interface directly. This enables direct integration of the code generated using Simulink coder and a performance equivalence between MIL and SIL modalities.

We are looking for an experienced developer to create/maintain this model-based development framework for ECU software development that requires tailoring as the architectural elements are expanded/ new micro-controllers are introduced. The selected candidate shall create customized libraries/ tool – boxes to support application development. Further, he/ she shall also create and maintain architectural tools for design partitioning. Handling the deployment and enforcement of all these artifacts and consequent guidelines in the Model based design and development work-flow shall also be within scope of this activity. The selected candidate shall share responsibility for training function developers in the appropriate use of developed tools/ libraries.. As and when required, the selected candidate shall also support other team members in development and/or testing of embedded software with specific focus on development of custom Simulink libraries for new platforms.
