We’re seeking an experienced and results-driven person to join our CSR team. The Head of CSR will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all corporate social responsibility initiatives for Bangalore International Airport Limited and will. This role will drive sustainable community development programs while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
Accountabilities
Strategy & Planning:
➢Develop and implement comprehensive CSR strategy aligned with BIAL’s vision and statutory requirements
➢Identify focus areas for CSR interventions based on community needs assessment and stakeholder consultation
➢Design annual CSR action plans with clear objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes
➢Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program impact
Fund Management & Compliance:
➢Manage the annual CSR budget and ensure optimal utilization of funds
➢Develop proposals for CSR funding and maintain relationship and reporting with potential donors
➢Monitor CSR expenditure and maintain detailed documentation for audit purposes
➢Ensure compliance with Companies Act 2013 Section 135 and CSR Rules
➢Prepare and submit statutory reports on CSR activities to relevant authorities
Program Implementation:
➢Lead the execution of CSR projects across focus areas such as education, healthcare, skill development, and environmental sustainability
➢Build and manage relationships with NGO partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders
➢Coordinate with internal departments and external partners for program implementation
➢Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables
➢Conduct regular site visits to assess program effectiveness
Team Leadership:
➢Lead and mentor the CSR team
➢Develop capacity building programs for team members
➢Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance metrics
➢Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Stakeholder Management:
➢Develop and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, local authorities, and beneficiaries
➢Represent BIAL and KIAF at various CSR forums and industry platforms
➢Manage communications with internal and external stakeholders
➢Document and showcase CSR success stories through various channels
Pre-requisites:
➢Post-graduate degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Business Administration, or related field
➢Minimum 20+ years of experience in CSR/development sector, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
➢Strong understanding of CSR laws, Companies Act provisions, and regulatory requirements
➢Experience in program design, implementation, and impact assessment
➢Proven track record of managing large-scale community development projects
➢Experience in fund management and budgeting
➢As part of this position, you will need to demonstrate flexibility in your schedule to ensure seamless support for CSR meetings and events, which may occasionally require you to extend work hours.
