Introduction:

Barclays FileGateway is the corporate unattended payments gateway solution. It enables Corporate Clients to securely submit payment files from their backend systems (ERP, CRM…) into Barclays for processing. It is also the conduit for Barclays to return Status and Account Reports back to the client for reconciliation. It offers clients the choice of using a number of industry standard file formats i.e. ISO20022, MT, Edifact, CFONB, along with supporting a number of different types of payment and collection types e.g. SEPA, Domestic, International, BACS, CHAPS, FPS etc. The service is built on a number of technology components with the IBM Sterling B2B Product Suite at its core, and the likes of AntiVirus, Oracle DB, IBM Directory Server and HSMs supporting it.

The FileGateway designer role will support the development process of enhancements and new functionalities coming to FileGateway. The role is a bridge between the business and technical stakeholders and supports various teams throughout the FileGateway release process. The candidate is expected to interact with Business Analysts, Product and business to fully understand the requirements and transform them into designs for enhancements and new features to the solution.

What will you be doing?

• Understand the detail requirements coming from Business Analysts
• Design and develop solutions for FileGateway based on those requirements
• Report and discuss the designs with the lead designers, business
• Assist the development and testing team with understanding the designed solution
• Bring improvement to current functioning of FileGateway
• Bring improvement using Rest APIs
• Automation inputs and Devops activity

What we’re looking for:

The candidate should have an excellent understanding of the core IBM Sterling B2B Integrator product and have worked on this product for at least 6 to 8 years. They should also:

• have a good understanding of Business Processes, XSLT and XAPI services
• have a good understanding of maps and visual map development
• have a good understanding of the various components of the full IBM Sterling B2B stack – Sterling File Gateway and B2B Integrator, Sterling Secure Proxy, Sterling External Authentication Server, Perimeter Services, IBM Control Center.
• have a good understanding of file transfer protocols such as Connect:Direct, SFTP, FTPS, Swift, EBICS

It would also be beneficial

• to have a good understanding of various payment message formats and standards such as MT101, MT103, Pain.001, Pain.002, Pain.008, Pain.007
• to have Banking/Payments experience

Skills that will help you in the role:

• IBM Sterling Integrator is a must
• Knowledge of business process in Sterling integrator
• Knowledge of Sterling map is a must.
• Knowledge of Swift, SFTP, FTPS, Connect Direct protocol is a must.
• Knowledge on Rest API’s,

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

• Core Java, JSP, struts
• Nice to have knowledge on Jenkins,
• Desirable to have Devops and Automation experience
