Engineer – Sales Marketing
Overview
An individual in this role will be assigned 4-5 customers. Day to day activity of this person is to handle all projects being done for defined customers and maintaining a very cordial relation with customers.
Qualification/Skills
Bachelor’s in engineering (Preferably in Mechanical, Automobile or related) and/or an MBA in Marketing
Should have worked in Automobile Domain specifically with OEM’s.
Experience of 5-6 years in program management is essential.
Commercial knowledge is a must. Should have experience in working under budgetguidelines.
Should be a self-propelling dynamic individual who can deliver results with minimum guidance.
Should have excellent command on written and spoken English.
Knowledge of foreign language like German or French will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibility
1. Customer Relation Management:
a. Being a single point of contact for a customer.
b. Bring new business and/or increase SOB
c. Reviewing development performance from customer after completion of each project. Based on feedback improve internal processes.
2.Commercials:
a. Bring in new projects at defined profit and overhead levels.
b. Reviewing price amendments and escalations.
c. Making sure each component is profitable and viable.
3.Program Management:
a. Complete responsibility for developing parts within defined timeline, ie. LOI to Launch.
b. Monitoring key milestones of the program to make sure timelinesare adhered.
c. Constant communication with customer and keep the customer abreast with each project’s status
d. Coordinating with different internal departments and ensuring all aspects of drawing are adhered. Coordinating with customer in an event of deviation/nonconformity.
e. After developing the part and submissionof samples to customer following up with customer and completing approval process.
f. Coordinating with customer and internal departments for one month after Start of Production to ensure smooth transition from Engineering to Production.
g. Maintaining project dashboardand present every week to the management.
h. Project documentation.
