Cloud Computing Pod Lead India

Summary:

The Cloud Computing group is part of the Global Solutions and Infrastructure organization supporting business teams across the enterprise and provides innovative and targeted technical solutions. This position reports to the Director, DevOps Engineering and will be responsible for a team of DevOps focused developers and engineers. The successful candidate will partner closely with development teams, managed service providers, business partners, technical functions, and Cyber Security.

As part of the cloud computing engineering team, you will help to explore cloud solutions and provide those solutions to the various communities that need to utilize cloud based services. Ability to lead a team of developers using DevOps techniques in an Agile delivery model is critical.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Team lead of a development/engineering team – utilize agile delivery model to deliver continuous improvements to our multi-cloud capabilities

· Manage a follow the sun support model acting as 3rd tier support for cloud services

· Partner with and influence Site Reliability Team in its mission to supply needed support to enabled DevOps teams

· Ensure frictionless access to our cloud services while maintaining security and data protection

· Enable DevOps teams, COTS vendors, and power users to utilize the services we provide

· Provide specialized and differentiated services to organizations as needed

· Work directly with development communities and other teams to realize full benefits of cloud services and deliver innovative solutions

· Support and evangelize the DevOps delivery model and Agile project delivery methodology

· Main services associated with a self-service cloud platform including test, deploy, monitor, and manage said services

· Instill amongst our consumers a sense of ownership and responsibility for the services they create/consume

Specific to position

· Expertise in multiple cloud delivery models, e.g., Lift & Shift, DevOps, specialized

· Expertise in multiple cloud platforms especially; Azure, AWS, GCP

· Proven ability to manage a team of developers

· Proven ability to work highly independently

· Domain knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry and regulatory requirements

· Collaborate and partner with internal stakeholders on cloud optimizations and compliance

· Interface with clients as a SME as it relates to cloud services, capabilities, compliance and security

· Provide FinOps optimization subject matter expertise to support development teams (well architected framework – costs)

· Develop and utilize metrics and KPIs to assure FinOps and compliance program success and progress

· Provide day to day support for the governance, management, and coordination of activities related to the FinOps Optimization

· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

· Ability to commission new services and capabilities and assit other development teams in the consumption of those services

Skills/Knowledge Required:

· Advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure components (e.g. cloud platform – AWS, GCP, Azure, containerization, compute, storage, and networks)

· Pervious hands-on experience with scripting, i.e., Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, PowerShell, etc.

· Ability to present highly technical information to non-technical audiences

· Compliance focused and results driven

· Works with a high level of independence and ability to make decisions

· Good organizational, analytical, and planning skills

· Hands-on technical practitioner

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations

· Proficiency with tools and information technology systems such as Microsoft Office, OneDrive, Excel, Teams, Visio, Tableau, PowerBI, etc

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

· Preferred: BS level technical degree required – Computer Science or Engineering, or commensurate experience

· Proven experience in leading technical architects and software development teams

· Exposure to /experience with network engineering including TCP/IP transport, firewalls, and internet gateways

· Exposure /experience with cloud computing technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP – Cloud architecture certifications preferred

· Experience with operating systems, container technologies, and one programming language
