Why this job matters

In this job, you’ll be responsible for the test automation approach and methodology for quality assurance of BT/EE platform solutions. You’ll provide technical leadership and strategic direction to automation or QA engineers, resolving the test project issues, and ensuring effective test process improvement feedback. You’ll be critical in ensuring that test architecture and test plans are up to date relative to changes in the Digital landscape. You’ll confidently lead and share knowledge with a team of engineers. You’ll be involved in planning and monitoring the execution of automation tests in CI/CD environment. You’ll define the automation first approach within development sprints, identify issues with the manual activities whilst using your own initiative to find the right solution for any faults found in dev, test and production. Excellent communication skills are required as you will be liaising with wider engineering team including operations and product teams. You will also be responsible for implementing latest technology, in line with our continuous integration and delivery goals.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage the development and implementation of automated & manual Test plan, Test Strategies, Test design, & Test development.

• Manage testing deliveries for Web, API & Mobile app. to ensure high-quality software delivery.

• Understand system architecture (large distributed) and set test strategies, provide test estimations, plan test execution and test data management accordingly.

• Participate in Requirement reviews, Code reviews, Design reviews, and Test report Reviews, Create & Track test/defect metrics to support continuous improvement for the end-to-end product quality.

• Manage test execution on multiple complex environment configurations to support testing & release activities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure ecosystem integration and accelerate delivery.

• Manage high performing QA teams & guide them on automation development & execution.

• Manage large, distributed stakeholders & align them for specific release goals.

• Have ability to show ROI on automation efforts.

Skills and Experience Required

• Should have strong 10-12 years of hands-on strong experience in Web, API & Mobile Automation (Webdriver.io, Appium & Rest assured)

• 7+ years of exp in Designing, Maintaining & Scaling Automation Framework is must.

• Hands on exp in JavaScript/Typescript, Java for creating and maintaining automation test script is must.

• Web Services and API testing using Postman is must.

• Strong exp in planning & implementing CI and CD pipeline.

• Strong Exp in Jmeter/Blaze meter is must.

• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure ecosystem integration and accelerate delivery.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are expected.

• Ability to work independently, and eagerness to learn and explore new topics is a must.

• Strong experience in E-Commerce & Payment systems would be preferred.

• Strong product-based experience would be preferred.
