Job Summary

As Product Engineer for the EMX family of products, you will be responsible for capturing the requirements, developing, testing, and delivering process design kit packages to enable EMX / EMX Designer and other EDA tools within the Cadence EDA portfolio. You will work closely with other members of the EMX Product Engineering and R&D teams to respond to development and enhancement requests for EMX/EMX Designer family of products.

Job Responsibilities

• Liaison with application engineers, design/foundry teams to collect and validate required inputs for PDK development.

• Execute in-house flows for PDK migration, development, and qualification for any foundry/technology process.

• Participate in development of new PCells, callbacks and QA procedures.

• Responsible for physical verification methodology, including installation, development, qualification, automation, customer issues

• Interact with other developers/customers to Analyze, debug and fix design flow issues in the custom design environment

• Continuously learn Cadence virtuoso, SKILL, EMX tools and features to be able to analyze, report/fix issues in the PDKs.

• Automate manual PDK QA efforts for efficiency improvement.

Experience and Technical Skills required

• 2 to 8 years of Work experience with Cadence Virtuoso, PDK QA/development and CAD enablement.

• Good knowledge of SKILL, Unix shell scripting, Python etc

• Knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS processes, device physics and layout design.

• Experience with Cadence custom IC Virtuoso platform to create layout test structures, to validate verification rules and to troubleshoot errors.

• Experience in developing PDK device library components and definitions including SKILL parameterized cells (Pcell), symbols, CDF, callbacks, simulation/netlisting would be a plus.

• Experience with Cadence PVS/Pegasus, EMX is also a PLUS.

• Working knowledge of SGE/LSF remote job submission and handling is a big plus

• Working knowledge of revision control software (SVN, Git, Perforce, etc) is also a PLUS

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Electrical/Electronics
