Job Description:

Cerner is elated to hire a Scrum Master II. As a Scrum Master II, you will organize and lead one or more cross-functional scrum teams through the Product Development Process from initiation to release and also leverage agile ceremonies to drive prioritization and planning to increase scrum team productivity, agility and velocity. In this role, you will act as a liaison and primary point of contact between the scrum team(s) and product management, product development and other stakeholder teams. Your responsibilities also include, managing progress of the sprint; proactively anticipate, avoid, remove or overcome distractions and barriers that impede or slow scrum team progress. As a Scrum master II, you will drive collaborative cooperation and consensus within the scrum team(s) and across other stakeholders through strong communication and conflict resolution. In this role, you will, drive continuous improvement for key metrics through proactive and predictive analytics using historical data to identify, anticipate and recommend risk mitigation strategies to leadership. As a Scrum Master II, you will model and promote adoption of agile methodologies, tools and best practices that support the Product Development Process and also, identify process improvement opportunities at a team or department level. Additionally, you will manage and track the capitalization, budget and financial aspects related to all initiatives at Product or Product Group level.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualification:

• At least 6 years of total combined higher education and related work experience including:

• At least 1 year of Project/program management work experience

• At least 5 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems

Preferred Qualification:

• At least 4 years of experience working in projects that are diligently applying Agile/Scrum practices as a Scrum Master

• At least 4 years of experience well documentation using Agile, Scrum tactics/techniques like Planning poker, Burndown/burn up, CFD, retrospective formats etc

• Experience in SAFe methodology, JIRA and JIRA Align for Agile project management, any programming language and SDLC process, technical practices like TDD, DEVOPS, CI, pair programming, automated testing

• Scrum Master / SAFe certifications
