We have opening for Senior Accountant at HO – Mumbai location
Job Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is to prepare project financial statements and supporting
schedules according to monthly close schedule
2. Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures. Analyse the project financial
statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
3. Prepare and enter journal entries which includes correcting entries, allocating
expenditures, grant related entries, etc
4. Analyse grant and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly
basis
5. Perform the financial administration and reporting of Project Grants which includes
establishing grant in financial system, preparing budget and any adjustments,
monitoring spending and assisting in accurate and timely reimbursements
6. Approve project expending and encumber grant funds and ensure compliance with
grant guidelines and Organisation’s policies and procedures
7. Project carryover budgets and inform grant coordinators of unspent funds and
approaching spending deadlines on a weekly basis.
8. Ensure proper accounting and reporting of assigned grants, which include year- end
calculation of accounts receivables and deferred revenues
9. Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations & amp; Fund reconciliation.
10. Assist in year-end closing and audits
11. Prepare quarterly Utilization Statement after proper analysis of budget &
expenditures and correcting discrepancies ,if any
12. Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
13. Assist in Payroll Processing
14. Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
15. Completing Data Backups
16. Other projects work as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Must have an Accounting degree and at least 6 to 8 years of experience.
§ Good Phone Communications Skills.
§ Strong Computer Skills.
§ Accuracy in daily work and other projects.
§ Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
§ Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions of Head-Finance & Admin of all financial
transactions.
§ Ability to maintain good working relationships with vendors and other employees.
§ Ability to function as a team player.
Salary:
up to 35k (pm) + insurance
