• The Cisco Cloud Security team is looking for an engineer to join our dynamic team working on working on Cloud Native Security Services

• In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of new product features, product releases, compliance, and quality for cloud-based firewall applications that are used by millions every day to keep the world secure.

Role & Responsibilities

· Develop & Test solutions to extend and improve the infrastructure of our security services

· Develop and test new software features in the data plane and control plane

· Write functional and design specifications

· Perform testing and automation of features and take them to the deployment stage

· Debug and provide sustaining for existing deployments

· Participate in/drive threat modeling, monitoring, and risk management of our infrastructure.

· Contribute towards achieving/maintaining compliance such as SOC2, FedRAMP, etc.

Preferred:

· Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent engineering experience.

· 3-5 years of Software development & Test Automation experience- SDET

· Experience with containerization and related technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS.

· Familiarity with microservice-based architectures.

· Domain knowledge of Security (encryption, firewalls, secure systems design, vulnerability management, secure software design, credential management, etc.)

· Ability to work in an agile delivery model, with ownership and accountability.

· Familiarity with Federal compliance requirements (SOC2 and/or FedRAMP) in a DevOps environment.

· VPN and Firewall experience desired

· Strong grasp of networking concepts
