The Payments and Receivables (P&R) Technology is a part of the TTS Technology organization and is embarking on several global transformations for P&R. We are seeking a Senior Vice President to lead solution engineering & infrastructure lead on market mandatory ISO 20022 adoption globally. The candidate requires a successful track record in delivering large scale complex delivery programmes in Banking Domain. He/she requires exceptional communication skills across both technology and the business and will have a high degree of visibility. The candidate will be a rigorous technical manager with a strong understanding of how to build scalable, enterprise level global solutions.
The ideal candidate will be dependable and resourceful software professional who can comfortably work in a large development team in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork and collaboration. Ability to work in high-pressured environment is essential.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate and partner with the business, infrastructure, and architecture teams to define strategic roadmap and execution plan leveraging our global target state architecture that will enable scalability and resiliency of the payment infrastructure within Citi.
Develop roles, responsibilities, and team structure to deliver against a transformational agenda while ensuring efficient use of resources and demonstrating alignment to business goals.
Lead a collaboration space with the regional teams to bridge the gaps between our global target architecture and local requirements with an eye towards simplification and standardization.
Lead integration of functions with understanding of client core business functions and partner with multiple senior management teams to meet goals and deploy new products and process enhancements.
Solve the highest-impact, highest-profile problems with significant business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes and industry standards.
Influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions) and communicate with external parties as needed.
Providing technology leadership for right strategy, planning and governance addressing how to identify and manage the tech debt.
Addressing all aspects of Production stability, scalability and availability for these transformed payment processing flows via proposed architecture and solution design
Contribute to technical direction and strategic decisions as a technical expert in all development and implementation phases, providing in-depth and sophisticated analyses to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum experience of 15 years working in banking technology industry
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience working on payments landscape handling technical delivery and support.
Minimum 10 years of experience in leading globally distributed teams successfully
Proven track record for technology strategy, planning and overall governance.
Project management, interpersonal, and communication skills, with high attention to details.
Good negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with scaled agile delivery from building to coaching teams to achieve client value with speed.
Experience with modernizing and migrating applications/clients to strategic architectures.
Experience in collaborating and influencing across regional/global cross-functional teams.
Understanding of Payments is required.
Technical / Functional Proficiency:
Responsible for providing technical leadership of multiple large scale/complex software solutions, even by extending the existing platform through custom development, customization and integration with in-house solutions and vendor solutions leading to a complete platform that caters to key business requirements.
Strong experience in working with various Payments schemes and Payments messaging formats such as SWIFT, ISO 20022 etc.
Experience in building enterprise grade transaction processing system with focus on recovery, stability, reliability, scalability and performance.
Demonstrated excellent software development acumen, preferable experience in development & implementation of any tech stack completely.
Exposure to performance tuning of large technical solutions with significant volumes
Conversant with various technologies, experience in transforming legacy systems to new age technologies befitting the needs of business function.
Interpret business strategy and determine innovative technology solutions with the ability to manage and evaluate data and innovation pipeline.
Responsible for providing technical engineering leadership of multiple large scale/complex global software solutions.
Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, high availability and concurrent programming
Strong understanding on Agile projects and SAFe Agile ceremonies.
Experience in building enterprise transaction-based system with focus on recovery, stability, reliability, scalability and performance.
Strong experience in designing complex application in micro services platform.
Solid understanding and experience of integrating Web Services
Experience in using the tools for service registry and service discovery (like Eureka, API-Gateway etc.)
Experience in using the tools for log visualization.
Hands on experience on Test Driven Development (Junit/Mockito/ etc.)
Experience in building multithreaded applications and troubleshooting complex issues related to it.
Experience in working on JMS / MQ applications.
Experience in working multiple OS (Unix, Linux, Win)
Experience developing SOA and writing/consuming web services.
Experience developing solutions involving ETL any Big Data concepts.
Experience in performance tuning of large technical solutions with significant volumes
Strong Database experience (MongoDB/Oracle/SQL)
Understanding of internetworking concepts, firewall, communication protocols is a plus.
Experience in using Open Source technology.
Knowledge of Web security framework is required.
