Position Summary:
This position is part of the team that supports Legal systems and is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and support of those applications. The role includes training and supporting end users, troubleshooting issues, maintaining system data, performing system configurations, and working with IT and Business stakeholders on process and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct timely, accurate and effective analysis and investigation of system issues to determine root cause.
Identify, isolate, track and bring to resolution technical issues
Daily system maintenance and administration
Configuration of business rules in legal systems
Review technical documents such as BRD’s, MDD’s, TDD’s and release notes to prepare UAT test scripts and perform system set-ups.
Monitor batch processes and timely handling of failures.
Perform UAT on system enhancements and projects.
Participate in testing and production checkout activities, creating and archiving all pertinent documentation.
Support COB testing on all legal systems.
Able to work extended hours when necessary as well as for purpose of on-call availability
Perform end user training on legal systems.
Design and create end user system training guides
Support overall system initiatives and process improvements
Act as an internal reference for identifying opportunities for system enhancements.
Track and maintain statuses on all reported production issues and minor enhancements.
Document and maintain SYS ADM business processes
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Experience as either Business/System Analyst or Production Support Analyst
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Hands on experience with rules engines, workflow tools and business process management systems
Proven business analysis and requirements management abilities.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly
Critical thinking with the ability to problem solve
Flexible, adaptable, responsive, positive
Must be a self-starter, learn quickly, and work productively with minimal direction under tight deadlines.
Strong organizational and coordination skills
Strong Excel, Visio, MS Word, MS Access, and PowerPoint skills.
Service Excellence mindset
Experience with Passport, Cognos and/or iManage applications preferred.
Legal Operations Experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate will posses experience supporting a legal technology platform used to support the management of external legal fees in a financial institution.
