We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Analyst to support Markets Operations Solutions (OpSo). The responsibilities of the PMO Analyst include managing the day-to-day governance activities, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes. In addition, collaborating with department leaders to develop projects and programs for their book of work.
Ideal candidates will be detailed oriented and have an in-depth knowledge of project execution and the delivery process. In addition, demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills as well as initiative. Experienced in project governance as well as execution, monitor and control from concept to delivery. To be successful in this role, you must be well organized, detailed and able to work well under pressure.
This is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to the governance, continuous iterative exploration and investigation of projects aligned to business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive portfolio, program and project performance.
Responsibilities:
Project / Program Governance for the Markets OpSo program/project portfolio
Provide guidance to technology leads and project managers in managing a large portfolio
An understanding of project tracking systems (PTS) similar to Clarity.
Ability to partner with other functions to drive the design and implementation of new ledger Governance, processes, and controls
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, across organizational levels, functions, and regions
Individual should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, have good interpersonal, communication, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are adhering to governance standards and meeting deadlines.
Manages technical components of moderately complex IT projects.
Identifies scope and impact of project risks and issues; raises and resolves issues.
Applies good understanding of concepts and procedures within own IT project leadership area to resolve issues.
Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how areas of IT project leadership collectively integrate to contribute to achieving business goals.
Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.
Directly impacts the IT project leadership area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning, budget management and formulation of procedures; influences resource planning.
Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Formulate and define systems scope and project objectives through research activities and provide guidance to new or lower level analysts
Analyze business client needs, document requirements and new technology, and derive test cases
Define and analyze enhancements and assist in redesigning business processes and process automation
Prepare reports, metrics and presentations and exchange ideas/information in a concise and logical manner between business units and IT
Identify risk and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Knowledge of applicable business systems and industry standards
Proven analytical, data analysis, organization and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse project portfolio
Consistently passionate for research, ideation and exploration with understanding of business analysis procedures and concepts
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Proven ability to work independently and in a team with understanding of how collaboration accomplishes objectives
