Job Description:
Under the direction of the Sr. Systems Administrator, the junior systems administrator works with the systems administrator to maintain, upgrade and support software, hardware, and networks, and quickly diagnose and resolve problems. The junior systems administrator is responsible for maintaining system infrastructure, including firewalls, testing computer equipment, backing up databases, installing and updating malware software, installing, and rebuilding existing servers as well as provide timely technical support for users.

Education Qualification: BE/ BTech/Diploma – IT / Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable.

Experience: 2-5 years of related experience in infrastructure/network environments performing net- work support and planning. Hardware and software implementation.

Location: Ability to work in office and option to work from home (Full – Time).

Estimated Salary Range: 20,000 – 30,000. Salary commensurate with experience

Required Skills:
Experience supporting desktops, laptops, mobile phones, servers and other company devices.
Demonstrated experience supporting desktop applications, network environment, server management.
Basic network cabling and infrastructure, including firewalls, routers and switches.
Adept problem-solving skills.
A technical, logical thought process.
Ability to meet strict deadlines.
Able to prioritize workload.
Excellent written communication skills.
Some proficiency in Linux command line.
Knowledge of common cloud technologies, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Scripting.
Able to pass Criminal and Background check.

Responsibilities:
Perform server administration tasks including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, research event log warnings and errors, resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly.
Monitor desktop health using management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise.
Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates, support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments.
Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.
Diagnose and remediate security threats and malware on company systems.
Create and maintain documentation of all systems and procedures.
Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.

Installing and configuring Windows and Linux Servers:
Testing new technology.
