As a QA Engineer, we expect the professional to come in and really make a mark by helping us to improve quality across the business. The individual will apply their initiative, expertise, and experience to help improve testing and quality across the business. In return, you’ll get the opportunity to work on some exciting projects and will work with cutting edge technology in our London, Canary Wharf office. You’ll get the chance to help shape how we work, and inspire others, while using the latest tools and technologies.

Accountabilities

In this role you will be expected to:

• Execute the testing of business applications by developing, publishing and implementing test plans for complex commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications, such as Salesforce.com, Conga Composer, Eloqua and Cvent .
• Execute functional and Non-Functional testing (GUI, Usability, Compatibility, Performance security…)
• Execute the internal regression testing process to ensure no existing business functionality is affected by feature development
• Work closely with our vendors to analyse and improve existing procedures defined within their development lifecycle
• Uphold test standards, ensuring all audit requirements are met
• Test documentation creation and maintenance (test plans, test cases, and checklists)
• Create reports on test results and software product quality
• Execute test estimation
• Liaise with the development team and key business users in Agile development projects – attending scrum review meeting and develop targeted test plans and cases
• Work with developers to help them become better testers
• Ensure your testing approach will be exploratory and risk-based, favouring the discovery and communication of information over the creation of test artifact
• Helping define and roll out improvements to testing and quality processes across both a tech team and wider company
• Work towards more efficient ways of testing using the best tools/methodologies.

Experience, skills and professional attributes

Ideal skills for this role are:

• Ability to maintain automated test suites which take our time to delivery down without impacting quality.
• In-depth experience of test planning, analysis, and scripting
• Experience of testing within an Agile environment, adapting quickly to changing situations
• Leading testing efforts, execution, and reporting, across multiple concurrent projects.
• That you are an experienced QA Engineer, with previous experience of large scale web applications, who understands that testing is far more than just “checking it works”.
• That you are a champion of quality and understand how it can be improved at every stage of software development.
• The ability to define and iterate a test approach.
• Experience of solving complex problems/issues.

• Project management and issue tracking tool experience: Atlassian Confluence, Atlassian JIRA, TestRail
• Programming language experience: Javascript, Java
• Technologies: Selenium Webdriver and the page object design pattern
• ISEB Foundation qualification (desired)
• SalesForce unit testing knowledge
• Understanding of SalesForce out of the box
• SalesForce admin skills
