Job Description

– Define procurement strategies for key categories and execute

Cost Model & TCO

Industry Analysis

Understanding of buying Cycles & correlation with other services

Capacity Building – Supplier Base Expansion

Commercial Negotiations and Sourcing Tools (RFI, RFP/RFQ, Reverse Auction using SAP Ariba)

Contract Management

– Capability Building – Lead and develop the team

– Ensuring right governance and controls in line with organizational policies and SOPs

– Researches and analyses market intelligence data for trends in services’ prices which could directly impact category spend

– Understand business, demand and requirements and its implications on sourcing and supplier base

– Annual Budgeting and Planning – Ensuring costs delivered as per budget

– Identify & implement value engineering initiatives for cost optimization

– Closely work with user and related cross functional teams to ensure on time in full availability of services or material.

– Build strong relationship with suppliers for long term competitive advantage

– Build robust mechanisms for tracking market prices and benchmarking with competition

Stakeholder management:

– Internal – Various functions- Planning, Logistics, Supply Chain Centres, Quality & Regulatory, Product Development, Marketing, Finance & Legal

– External – Business Partners, Industry Bodies, Research Organizations etc.
