This is a perfect opportunity for the right person to become a key part of a team of cyber security professionals that are executing a pivotal role in protecting and defending the nation’s critical infrastructure. The Cyber Defense Operations Analyst will be a member of the Cyber Defense Engineering Operations team. This role will be responsible for daily administration of the various Cyber Defense applications used by CME Group to protect information assets.

Position Responsibilities

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to obtain an understanding of the products used by the GIS Engineering department and provide all aspects of administrative coverage:

User End Point Security Technology – cyber threat detection and forensics
Application & Data Security Technology – data leakage prevention, database activity monitoring
Network Security – web content filtering, host instruction detection, network intrusion prevention, security incident and event management
Collaborates with engineering on configuration management best practices for the cyber defense applications
Reviews and creates standard operations procedures to support daily application operations
Respond to complex inquiries from consumers of the cyber defense applications
Ability to coordinate DR testing cycles and have hands-on experience to plan and execute scheduled disaster recovery tests
Familiarity with Python or other programing languages to automate operational tasks

Experience Requirements

Working experience in cyber application administration for technology comprising of one or more of the following:

User End Point Security Apps
SIEM Apps
Network Security Apps
Data Security Apps
Web Filtering Apps

Formal Education, Certifications and Competencies

BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or Information Systems or related work experience
3 years hands-on experience with cyber security application administration and operations
CompTIA IT Fundamentals+ (ITF+)
CompTIA Security+
Core competencies
Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Office Optimization tools; MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
Confident working in a fast paced, virtual team setting
Communicates effectively with ability to listen, seek understanding, and adjust communication approach on advice, feedback, and best practices
Ability to quickly grasp key concepts and takes accountability and applies feedback to adjust approach and ensure high quality delivery
Effectively collaborates with immediate team and with Cyber Defense Engineers
