Job Role

Codal is seeking a QA Engineer for Manual Testing to join our rapidly growing digital agency. The QA Engineer will perform a variety of job responsibilities related to testing web and mobile applications across multiple platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analysis of requirements, preparing a query list based on those requirements;

• Writing and executing test cases to detect usability and performance issues;

• Conducting exploratory testing- simultaneous test design and execution.

• Verification of multi-device and cross-platform consistency (software works on different devices and browsers);

• Creating detailed reports and listing improvements;

• Participation in test planning meetings and providing feedback to the testing team

• Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

• Producing Test Strategies, Defect Tracking, Requirements Capture and Analysis, Test Plan, Test Cases, TCDs, Test Matrix and Test Summary Reports to agreed deadlines

• Create detailed, comprehensive, test plans and test cases suites

• Creating and executing automated and manual test scripts, test plans and test cases

• Write performance test cases and analyse performance results

• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities

  Key Requirements

• Experience 2 – 6 yrs

• Strong UI/UX background

• Proficiency in manual web /mobile/API/ requirements testing

• Experience with software testing methods, such as functional testing, stress testing, Performance testing, Smoke testing, Exploratory Testing, Integration Testing, End to End Testing, UAT Testing, Sanity testing, Regression testing, Adhoc testing, Usability Testing, GUI Testing, Black box Testing, and cross-browser testing for responsive websites

• Familiarity with writing test documentations, requirements review, creating bug reports.

• Understanding certain marking/scripting/programming languages required for the project (e.g. JSON, HTML, CSS).

• Ability to describe bugs clearly and accurately.

• Experience of SQL and scripting

• Strong knowledge of Test Methodologies, SDLC (Agile, Scrum,), STLC, Bug Life Cycle.

• Experience with management tools. Jira and TFS.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle priorities.

• Excellent communication skills.
