Job Description for Lab technician: Mechanical/Mechatronics
Position: Lab Technician (Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics with 2 to 4 years’ experience preferably, in aerospace/Automobile field).
Coordination of TPM, AMC/Preventive maintenance, Calibration, operator walk-around checks of testing machines and ensuring adherence to 5-S standards and house-keeping in test lab area.
Experience in set-up, operation, maintenance management, calibration management, troubleshooting and handling of Rapid prototype (3D Printing), Mechanical flow bench, height gauge, pH meter, Viscometer, Precision Weighing balance etc.,
Performance of the tests in accordance with international / industry standards for aerospace materials’ testing and acceptance such as AMS specifications, MIL standards, RTCA DO-160G, ASTM standards, FAA-FAR and TSO regulatory standards.
Operate and monitor equipment such as but not limited to closed loop vibration controllers, high pressure load control systems, Thermal chambers, Climatic chambers etc., Coordination and prioritization of multiple test projects simultaneously, including fixture design & fabrication, test profile development and test instrumentation.
Mechanical testing of metallic/non-metallic materials such as technical fabrics, coated fabrics, elastomers/rubber, polymers, plastics, composites etc. using UTMs and related equipment. Familiarity and understanding of Indian and International Materials Testing standards such as ASTM, IS, BS etc.,
Proven computer usage skills as required with respect to materials testing, testing software, data acquisition and reporting of test data.
Assist in the troubleshooting of test setups and specimens involved in tests and report the same. Record data in accordance with prescribed requirements and participate in evaluation of data as required.
Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS, AS9100, ISO/IEC 17025:2017), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and other regulatory requirements.
