Software Company having international operation for more fifteen years and having offshore development center in India is looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for their new development center setting up in Bangalore. The right candidate should be capable to set up, launch and manage the new center with strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business with a creative point of view. The COO will lead team of high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience within software industry, preferably having worked their way up to an executive role. We believe this trajectory helps a person develop a unique mix of business and management expertise, plus proficiency with the practices, policies, and procedures of software industry.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE
Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels
Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning
Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met
Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, and take appropriate action when necessary
Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively
Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans
Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
Resolve internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of all involved
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role
Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
Working knowledge of Software industry in similar position.
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance
Assist CEO in fundraising ventures
Participate in expansion activities.
Manage relationships with partners/vendors
