PDI Project commissioning engineer

Description

Applies developing business process and project management skills within an area of business or technical specialty under the supervision of a project manager. Develops skills to manage small portions of well defined projects.

Provides administrative and logistics support for a project team and project manager.

Serves as a support resource on projects and work assignments; developing basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding.

Assists in identifying, tracking, and working with others to resolve project issues while developing skills to do this independently.

Helps to monitor and communicate project status to project team while developing skills to do this independently.

Assists with budget planning and tracking, research, and analytical support; provides administrative support for the design and development of project plans and timelines.

Assists with managing project risk; developing how to use quality tools to identify areas of risk.

Supports documenting and sharing team learnings with other teams; uses lessons learned from other sources to enhance the success of the project.

Maintains project notes, databases, and other records; monitors measures and communicates with Project Manager on status of specific projects and assignments.

Project Issue and Risk Management – Manages the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

College or equivalent degree preferred.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through training or on-the-job experience.

Support DG set and associated systems installed in DG container commissioning at customer project site location as per customer commissioning script.

Installation work completion check list documentation preparation,

Support commissioning trials during L2- Installation checks, L3- Site acceptance testing, L4- Package functional performance test & L5- Integrated testing,

Support in commissioning documentation as per technical contract deliverables,

Post warranty technical support on field issues reported on low side DG container package, DBU team supports only base generator set.

Coordination with suppliers on electrical package pre-commissioning & cold / simulation testing,

Coordination at DG Container package works during DG assembly in container as per approved GA.

Coordination at DG Container package works during Pre-commissioning checks- Cold testing / simulation checks,

Coordination at DG Container package works during internal performance testing of containerized DG package as per customer approved script,

Coordination at DG Container package works during customer witness testing for DG package as per customer approved script,
