Job Description
Logistics Associate
Site: Beckman Coulter, Bangalore Development Center
Band: Contingent Worker
Department: Manufacturing – Reagents/Other Consumables
Supervisor: Lead Logistics
Summary of responsibilities: Beckman Coulter LS, Bangalore is looking for a Candidate who is strong in day-to-day logistics operations, Handling experience of EOU / STPI compliance activity, Hands on experience in Indian Customs clearance process. Candidate is primarily responsible for preparation of shipping documents and customs clearance documents, follow up with the CHAs to clear and receive the shipments on time.
Boundary Conditions/Authority Levels: Receives instruction on routine work
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinate and monitors import shipments and clearance activity in timely manner through CHA to avoid penalty for late filling and demurrage.
Bonding notification submission to authorities within 24hrs from the time of materials receipt at the site
Maintaining an import / export tracker and track the shipment until the shipment reach the destination
Support for On Time Delivery to the customer
Co-ordination with freight forwarders as per the customer requirements
Preparation of outbound shipping documentation in accordance with EOU compliance
Provide provision statement for import/export shipments to Finance
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Responsible for all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
Responsible for implementing Corrective and Preventive actions
Maintaining the original shipping documents
Support in audit preparation for Logistics team
Up-to-date knowledge about EPC, CSEZ & Customs related to Imports and exports
Responsible for follow all company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance
Report’s status of activities to the Manager
Flexible to take up new challenges & Performs other related duties as required
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and have an experience of 0 – 2 years and has good understanding of the subject. Preferably from Pharma/ Biotech industry background, EOU handling experience is an added advantage
