Danfoss Business System (DBS) is looking for a Lean Project Lead to handle global projects and drive change management initiatives across various Danfoss factories, mainly in Europe. You will be working in a truly multicultural environment with highly qualified colleagues from all over the world.
As Lean Project Leader, you will be assigned to a number of specific tasks or projects. You will be driving the activities on-site, with the objective to support the factory leadership to further improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, and thereby achieve effective contribution margin improvements. We operate wherever our companies, partners and customers are, and therefore it is important that you have the flexibility and willingness to travel 100% and to work in all our factories globally – however mainly regionally.

Job Responsibilities

You will act as a trusted and valued partner to manufacturing and supply chain leaders to ensure optimization within quality, delivery, cost, motivation, and cash flow, along the entire value chain. It will be your responsibility to encourage a culture of sustainable change by applying LEAN and SIX SIGMA methodology, creating impact across all KPI’s, delivering top class products to customers every time. As part of a global network, you will search and share best practice effectively. Your main responsibilities are to:

• Improve performance in the plant withing the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Provide performance coaching to the operations team to ensure that goals are achieved, and that bench proficiency is improved to facilitate succession planning.
• Promote and improve results by leveraging lean tools, consulting skills and change management processes.
• Motivate and support factory and divisional management to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Create long term activity roadmaps and lean transformation projects for our factories incl. Kaizen and step change projects.

Background & Skills

To be considered for this position, you have a relevant background in engineering, business or equivalent combined with significant hands-on experience in implementing change projects.
You could have plant and operational managerial experience from a production/manufacturing setting as well.
It is essential that you have a commitment to diversity of thought, inclusion, and a global/international mindset. You will be required to demonstrate an ability to navigate in a complex setting whilst maintaining an innovative perspective.
You are a solid team-oriented person and an inspirational project leader possessing technical credibility and presence, with the ability to quickly gain the trust of your team, your peers and management. You will exhibit a personal blend of holistic process understanding, functional quality and execution success. Furthermore, we expect that you:

• Have a solid foundation in lean and related areas (six sigma, TPM, TPS)
• Are an effective communicator and consensus builder across key stakeholders
• Have significant focus on collaboration with a wider network
• Have an instinct for impact and a taste for stretched targets
• Have a mindset of continuously improving your peers and your self
• Are fluent in English, both orally and in writing
