Program Manager
Job Summary:
We are looking for an energetic and talented individual to drive multiple software programs in our product portfolio. Out-of-the-box thinking and the ability to work independently on numerous activities and prioritize them properly while meeting deadlines are a must. The ideal candidate must be results-driven, comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to make quick reasoned decisions focused on implementing practical, timely solutions.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Work closely with all teams and successfully integrate yourself in the cross functional fabric of Tintri by DDN. Be able to communicate with extreme clarity and focus, document all options, plans and trends both from a technology and business foundation.
Communicate effectively, orally and written, with management, engineering, contractors, vendors and various departments
Coordinate and manages the release planning process including resources, priorities, and contents through multiple iterations to define the release contents
Define and track tasks, dependencies, priorities, milestones, deliverables, and risks. Surface and resolve issues, and escalate unresolved issues to executive management
Navigate within the software and hardware organizations to understand progress on projects.
Creating weekly status reports and conducting weekly status meetings.
Track project costs including labor, material costs, tools, and third-party costs.
Must have a high-level sense of ownership.
Participate in team building, help hire talented individuals and promote a collaborative environment.
Qualifications for this role are:
Experience in being part of a large engineering team (lead preferred).
At least 5+ Years Project or Program Management experience, preferably in a software product development company.
Must have a proven track of project leadership and software development. Prior experience as an R&D Project Manager is a plus.
BS Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is a plus.
Preferred Storage Industry experience with a strong understanding of the overall storage ecosystem and the storage-related hardware.
Business acumen to ensure team focuses on appropriate business needs.
Thorough understanding of software engineering processes.
