Alliances Global Inside Account Manager
Job Family Summary – IS5
Sells products and services (via telephone, web or e-mail) globally to specified customer or partners and is responsible for ensuring a positive customer/partner experience. Global Sales overlay quota will be allocated based on aligned outside global account executives.
Principle Accountabilities
Sells products and services, including Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Software, enterprise solutions and service contracts. Responsible to drive inbound and outbound calls, emails, and web interface to focus on maintaining and expanding business relationships/market share with existing and new customers Functions as the primary insides sales demand generalist and provides support to the field sales leader with all sales internal resources, in both strategy and executions May focus on new account development and/or expanding existing accounts Work towards achievement of an overlay quota Interacts regularly with the outside sales team Responds to customer inquiries. Works effectively in a global team environment. May require some direct selling to end user customers and partners.
Principle Responsibilities
Continually improves approaches and methods for selling company products and services. Responsible for higher number of large accounts. If account/acquisition focused individual responsible for: – Highest revenue spend in business and/or account complexity within assigned business – Greatest strategic value within assigned business
Accomplished level sales representative, influencing how others engage/interact with client set
The customer/partner experience is highly dependent on the performance and accuracy of the specialist and as such, has a significant impact on the customer/partner relationship and the future spend with company
Uses thought leadership to build customer relationships and assist customers/partners in developing business solutions using company products and services.
Coaches others in closing complex deals and assists others in keeping up-to-date on company’s technology, products, and services
Exhibits a broad base knowledge of multiple or related industries as well as an acute business understanding
Organizes internal/external resources in response to customer/partner needs
Develops relations with key vendors to better position industry technology within company solutions
Focuses self and team on the most critical activities that support the sales environment and the customer/partner
Support account planning, opportunity management, quoting, and pricing negotiation in support of GAM & global sales executives
Support regional partner engagement to align to global account plan
Drives qualifying opportunities, developing quotes, contract approvals, and closing the opportunities
Responsible for driving inbound and outbound calls, emails, and web interface, focuses on maintaining and expanding business relationships with central decision makers at the partner
Skills
Solid understanding of the full range of products and services and is able to identify how these products and services align to customer needs
Leverages cross-functional resources to achieve results/meet customer needs
Basic indirect Leadership skills
Identify improvement opportunities with individuals and within segment
Leverages experiences to lead individuals and team
Ability to teach, coach, and motivate others to improve performance including providing feedback and identifying development opportunities
