Senior Test Engineer Join us as a Senior Test Engineer on our IDD GTT DevOps Test Engineering team in Bangalore to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.
What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Test Engineer, you will develop and document test plans for newly developed or current IDD GTT software solutions. You will partner with a test team during test execution and report results to development engineers and leadership. You will also create test plans that include resource requirements based on inputs from Development and Marketing. Finally, you will work with external validation partners to develop comprehensive test plans and test coverage across multiple test organizations.
You will:

• Define and implement new testmethodologiestoreducetesttimeand increasetestcoverage
• Implement acontinuousimprovementprocessfortestplans, testcases,andautomationduringandaftertestprojectsMentorsnewengineersinthetestgroup
• Evaluateeffectivenessoftest plan duringandaftertestprojects
• Evaluatetestmethodologiestoreduce testtime and increasetest coverage
• Communicatewith anddirectstesttechniciansin the executionoftest plans
• Driveuseofautomationand testtoolsandpushesforprocessimprovementwherepossible
• Workwiththeextended engineeringteamtoensure completionof allrequiredtesting,andmonitorsprojectprogression
• Developand executestest automation scripts
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Create test design strategies and test plans that are appropriate to the type of application under test and the types of bugs sought.
• Adjust test strategies and plans as needed to meet changing user requirements.
• Verify software functionality for software development projects based on the test strategies and test plans created.
• Utilize various software testing methodologies to identify the decision points in the software.

Essential Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of related experience
• Solid understanding of hardware and software system architecture and interactions and should be able to apply it to resolve issues
• Enthusiastic about learning new tools, languages and operating systems
• Proficient in reading and understanding technical data sheets
• Strongunderstanding of softwaresystemarchitecture
• Strongunderstanding of softwareinteractions,andabletoapply thisunderstanding to resolveissues
• Ableto easilyachievemasteryof newtools,languagesandoperatingsystems
• Proficientinreadingandunderstanding technicaldatasheets
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. JIRA, qTest, Confluence, Git).
• Strong Automation experience in Perl or Python. And should be able to automate and execute test cases in available framework.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g. Selenium, UiPath, Jenkins)

Typicallyrequires5+years ofrelatedexperiencewitha Bachelor’sdegree;or3+yearswithaMaster’sdegree;or aPhDwithoutexperience;orequivalent experience
