Job Title – Java Developer

Job Description Summary

An Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals efficiently and reliably. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of their solution components, investigating re-use, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose, reliable, maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and environment with clear, robust and well tested deployments.

Engineers actively look for opportunities to improve the availability and performance of components by applying the learning from monitoring and observation, automating towards zero touch, and championing a ‘DevOps’ mind-set.

Your key responsibilities

• design and develop solutions for Repo/Magellan
• execute FIC architecture target state
• built new components aligned with Goggle Cloud principles
• resolve complex problems in internal and external integration projects
• supervise features development/component maintenance
• develop build, deployment and continuous integration tools
• provide a root cause analysis for production issues
• prepare artifacts for release to production

Your Skills and Experience:

• 9+ year java in various large projects
• Proven experience in design of solutions and problem solving
• Experience in business demand analysis, converting requirements to a technical solution and a front-to-back delivery as a great +
• An interest to learn a subject area
• Experience or openness to other languages like C++ and .NET as a great +
• Strong Oracle/SQL
• Know Linux/Bash
• Experience in 3rd line prod support – We are primary interested in a root cause analysis and reverse engineering skills rather than daily duties
• Advanced/Upper-intermediate English
